Good n’ Green Hummus

Good n’ Green Hummus

If you’re interested in making a unique hummus full of herbs, you must try this recipe! Even if you’re having a hard time finding tahini (sesame butter) this recipe uses raw sesame seeds instead, to capture the same flavor.

This recipe is made in two steps. First combine the below.

¾ c (100g) raw sesame seeds

juice of 1 lemon

¼ c water

Blend the three ingredients in a food processor until a smooth paste is formed. Next, add the below and blend until herbs and chickpeas become smooth.

1 can chickpeas

½ tsp salt

1 bunch cilantro

1 small bunch parsley

1 small bunch chives

1 tbsp olive oil

½ avocado

You can reserve the other half of the avocado to slice and serve on top of the hummus along with cilantro and parsley leaves.  Enjoy the hummus with vegetables, crackers, or used as a spread for sandwiches!

SK Tip: The chives give the hummus a lot of flavor, but you can add in onion or garlic if preferred as well!
