New Year Libation: Mulled Wine Bubbly

1 bottle white wine blend (Seven Daughters Crisp White)

1 small handful cranberries sliced in half

2 cinnamon sticks

1 tbsp agave syrup

5 cloves

1 bottle San Pellegrino sparkling water

Pour the wine into a pan on the stove top and set to simmer or on the lowest heat setting. Add the cinnamon sticks, cloves, cranberries, and agave and cook for 20 minutes. Be sure to keep the setting low to maintain the alcohol content. Let cool, refrigerate, or make the night before and top off with sparkling water right before serving. Discard the cinnamon sticks and cloves, but keep the cranberries for garnish. Search the Barnivore website for additional vegan friendly wine. Seven Daughters Crisp White used in this recipe is vegan friendly, and is a nice white blend!

Cranberry & Olive Endives

2 Endives

¼ c kalamata olives

¼ c green olives

1 c cranberries

1 tbsp agave syrup

Follow Your Heart Soy-Free Veganaise

arugula

Wash the endives, chop off the bottom, and separate the leaves. Spread a layer of the veganaise on the inside of each leaf. Next chop the olives or toss into a food processor for a few seconds. Set that aside and next take the cranberries and agave and also blend in a food processor until it looks like cranberry sauce. Put a spoonful of the olives and the cranberries on each leaf, then add a couple leaves of arugula. You’ll want to serve these right away so the endive is crisp.

Enjoy!
